Identifying a McDonnell Douglas Aircraft!


Yes there are planes manufactured by company other than Boeing and Airbus.!!

Although McDonnell Douglas has now merged with Boeing (after 1996).

McDonnell Douglas manufactured the following models:

  1. DC-8
  2. DC-9
  3. DC-10
  4. MD-11 (stretched and modernized version of the DC-10)
  5. MD-80 (stretched and modernized version of the DC-9)
  6. MD-90 (stretched and modernized version of the MD-80)

  • 4 Engines
  • 2 Doors
  • Very uncommon
  • Not operational as a passenger aircraft

  • 2 Engines placed on the tail of the aircraft
  • The tail is pointed at the end

  • 3 Engines (2 under the wings/1 at the base of the fin)
  • The tail is round t the end
  • No winglets
  • 5 landing gear (1 front/1 center/2 ┬ásides)

  • The tail is wedge shaped.
